New Pages and Updates - Part I

It's been a year since I've posted updates. I have done a lot of work this past year, but realized that I had not notified my readers via this blog about them. Two most notable changes: the Eve N Don directory site not only changed its name to Don's List after his wife Eve passed away, it also changed its URL (web address). It took quite a bit of time for me to make the appropriate changes to this site. The second change was when the BYU Digital Books site changed to FamilySearch Books. I'm not done changing all those links. Meantime, you can check them out at FamilySearch Books and do a search for "directory." Additionally, the site Old Directory Search is now offline. I've started to remove some of the dead links, but again, have not gotten to all of them.

I finally added all the rest of  links (18 more) to directories from Ancestry to the Orange County, California page.  I also added 21 free links to county and telephone directories from the Fullerton Public Library. It took me a loooong time to get this page completed because Ancestry divided up the directories for this county into three parts and I had to check each part to see which communities it contained so I could label the links correctly. I now have only 10 more California counties' directories at Ancestry to link!

I also added a link from the Hathi Trust Digital Library to the King County, Washington page.

I created the Boone County, Missouri page and added a link to it from the Hathi Trust Digital Library. This now makes five counties, plus the City of St. Louis, linked for Missouri.

I'm taking another break from adding links from Ancestry and have been adding some from the New England Historic and Genealogical Society, some to St. Louis, Missouri directories at Google (thanks, John!) AND from the Akron-Summit County (Ohio) Public Library. The page for the latter is not quite ready; it takes some time to download each directory (and there are a lot!) to view the details (location[s] covered; compiler; verify the publishing year). Meanwhile, here are the latest I've added from the NEHGS site, which is a subscription website, as well as the St. Louis directories.
